The Royal Peacock Hotel occupies a row of ten beautifully restored shop-houses. To preserve its authentic ambiance, each shop-house has been artistically restored to its original condition, from the architecture and design to the timber ceiling, shutters and louvered doors. The Royal Peacock features seventy-nine guest rooms, including six executive rooms. In the privacy of your room, enjoy modern luxury that is avant-garde and the latest amenities in comfort.

As part of its masterplan for the redevelopment of Chinatown, Singapore as recommended the contruction of a number of boutique hotels and the Royal Peacock is not meant to function like a typical hotel. They are "quinessentially modernist spaces, innovations of a modern tourism industry, to give the visitor an experience of "Old Chinatown".

In the centre of Chinatown is Singapore¡¯s newest and possibly smallest boutique hotel. The Royal Peacock. Occupying ten beautifully restored shophouses along Keong Saik Road, once notorious for its red lanterns and ladies of the night, few hotels mange to boast of such a colourful past.

The small lobby is functional with a little cafe style seating seats to the left and a counter facing the door. This is typical of one unit of the shop of yesteryear with timber ceiling, shutters and louvered doors.

Unique touches include a sleigh bed and an antique gilt-framed mirror, as well as plush purple carpets red walls, rich floral fabrics reminiscent of a Baroque painting and red curtains with tassels. Standard rooms has no windows. In the privacy of each of its seventy-nine rooms, you¡¯ll be greeted by modern luxury that¡¯s fresh, avant garde and welcoming.
